The Sun is the closest star to us. It is also the largest object in the solar system (it is 109 times larger than the Earth). The sun is not unique in the universe because there are other stars, around which exoplanets turn (the sun is a star: a small yellow one) .The Sun is composed of 75% hydrogen and 25% helium. The sun appeared at least 5 million years ago. Without it nothing would be living on Earth. The core is 15 million degrees Celsius.
